ISFMI, Semi-Finalist of the Conservation X Labs' Fire Grand Challenge

ISFMI is proud to share that it has been selected as one of 24 Technical Semi-Finalists in the Conservation X Labs' Fire Grand Challenge for its solution “Expanding Emissions Reduction Traditional Fire Management to Mexico’s Diverse Fire Adapted Ecosystems.”

An external panel of experts in fire management, forestry, and technology evaluated our innovation based on its technological feasibility, scaling potential, environmental and social impact, and novelty, and they determined that it has strong potential to help transform how we manage and live with fire.

We appreciate this vote of confidence in our innovation, and we are excited for this coming month, when the Finalists will be announced—each receiving $50,000 to advance through field-testing and acceleration.
