2025 North Australia Savanna Fire Forum sponsored by ISFMI

ISFMI is sponsoring the 2025 North Australia Savanna Fire Forum: Delivering results for people and planet, that will be hosted in Darwin on February 18-20, 2025.

Now in its seventh year, this important Indigenous-led event facilitates knowledge sharing within the network and beyond to improve understanding and practice of savanna fire management.

In previous years the Forum has sold out, with 400 fire managers, land managers, Indigenous leaders, carbon industry practitioners, scientists, policy makers and other interested parties in attendance.

The 2025 the Forum will feature a rich program of presentations by fire managers, policy discussions, workshops and diverse onsite and offsite side events such as a gamba grass information session, fire songs, fire art, a women’s yarning circle and harbour cruise.

Co-designed by the ICIN Board, members and a Forum working group, the program will cover latest savanna fire management practice, fire science technology, hotspot tracking, satellite mapping, latest research, carbon and environmental market updates, Indigenous leadership in Caring for Country, the continuation of ancient fire management practice and much much more.
