Aboriginal Carbon Foundation Releases Report verifying Kowanyama Carbon Project Core Benefits

This report from the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation details the process of the first Indigenous-led verification of the environmental, social and cultural values of the Kowanyama carbon farming project in Cape York.

The two most significant core benefits identified for the Kowanyama carbon farming project by the Kowanyama community, Traditional Owners and rangers are:

The carbon project enables the continuation of cultural practice; and

The carbon project enables the coming together of western and Indigenous science.
