Green Climate Fund Approves three new ISFMI Readiness Projects - Belize, Guatemala, Southern Africa

The ISFMI is pleased to announce that the Green Climate Fund (GCF) has recently approved three new ISFMI Readiness Projects focused on supporting countries to ready themselves for revitalising traditional fire management as a tool for climate, communities, and biodiversity.

Each of these readiness projects will be coordinated by the ISFMI in the capacity of GCF Delivery Partner, in partnership with the Governments of Belize, Guatemala and, for the Southern Africa multi-country project, Botswana, Mozambique and Zambia.

The projects will each be of a twenty four month duration commencing in 2022. The ISFMI wishes to thank the GCF and the participating governments for their support in making these projects a possibility. For more information contact secretariat@isfmi.org.
